A few months ago we stood around scratching our heads wondering
how to begin the refurbishment on Room 2 at Knightswood
Congregational Church. The ideal situation would be to
turn the room into a room which could be multi functional.
To be used as a meeting room, an office space and computer
room for the young people of the Church.
That's where the head scratching really started!!!!!! Our
minister during a chance conversation with his brother found
out that his company GE (General Electric) were keen on community
projects.
Not to stand on ceremony Alan made contact with Marilyn Thomson
of GE who came to survey the project, and after some initial
hiccups work got underway and in no time at all the work was
complete and we now have an excellent facility for the Church.
A big thanks is due to the team
from GE for all their hard work
The first picture shows the room once all the old furniture
and cupboards had been removed; the second picture shows the
group hard at work scratching their heads!!! and the last
two show the completed room.
