  • Some of the main points arising from the Assembly were:-

    i. Barbara Bridges, St.Mary’s Gloucester, Noel Clarke, Oakamoor and Mark Evans, Belvedere and Erith were included on the Roll of Ministers.
ii. David Gent, Ladypool Road, Birmingham and Lewis Lewis, Motherwell were included on the Roll of Pastors.
iii. Val Price retired as President and John Nockels welcomed in as her replacement.
iv. Wayne Hawkins is to be Chair of Mission and Society Committee from 2005 – 2008.
Margaret Morris is to be Chair of Christian Ministries Committee from 2006 – 2009.
Adam Woricker is to be Chair of Finance and Support Services from 2006 – 2009.
Ian Gregory was appointed Public Relations Officer and Christopher Damp appointed as President Elect.

Please note your diaries for the next May Assembly which will be held in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire – on Saturday, 13th May 2006.

After the Assembly it was back to have a wander around the area and for some a quick dash to a little shop they had spotted and wanted to visit, a little relaxation and freshening up, it was an enjoyable evening out with plenty of social chat.

The following morning we headed to Highbury Congregational Church for their morning service at 10.30.

All in all it was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend with fabulous weather and fellowship.

Pam O'Hara,
Secretary, Knightswood
